Having leadership experience in changing multicultural and international organizations and teams, he can bring totally different worldviews together. Robert Matthezing has a MSc in Geology from the University of Utrecht, an LLB from the University of Law in London, UK and an LLM Law and Technology from Tilburg University. He is a registered Dutch and European patent attorney and Solicitor (Law of England and Wales). He has significant experience as a senior leader in Shell’s Legal and Intellectual Property (IP) organization with global accountability for IP management for Shell’s Oil Products, Gas&Power and Upstream businesses. Since 2018, he has supported Shell’s digital transformation strategy, IT and Shell’s digital centre of expertise in IT, Cloud, SAAS contracting, disputes, Artificial intelligence (AI) and blockchain. He provides pragmatic and solution-focused expert advice on legal and ethical use of AI, especially on the new EU AI Act.
